Welcome to the 1st Sittingbourne (Salvation Army) Scout Group

Based in Shortlands Road, serving both Murston and Sittingbourne areas, and part of the Sittingbourne & Milton District, we reformed in 2007, the centenary year of Scouting, after a long absence.

Every week over 60 young people aged 6 – 14 from Murston and Sittingbourne join us to experience everyday adventure and take part in our Scouting programme.

The Group has steadily grown over the last 10+ years, from the hard work and effort of our Leadership team, fully supportive Executive Committee and our Section Leaders.

Scouting is one of the oldest and best known providers of youth services in the world and we very much encourage family participation in our Scout Group, as well as providing quality Scouting to young people of all abilities.

Covid-19 Scouting

Following the Scouts Association readiness levels, we are currently at “RED” level. No Face-to-Face Scouting meetings.

We know that our members are as disappointed to be missing out on face to face scouting as much as our volunteers are missing running the fabulous programmes they had planned.

Our fabulous team are be putting together ‘remote scouting’ activities for our members to do at home. Look out for a delivery of activity packs to your door and zoom invitation links coming to your emails.
