At 1st Sittingbourne (S.A) Scout Group, every member wears a uniform consisting of a Top (see below), a pair of cargo style Activity Trousers and a red Scarf with Yellow and Blue borders, that they are presented with when they are invested into the Group.
The colours of the Scarf are representative of those used in the Salvation Army Flag (right), which represents the Trinity. The Blue symbolises the purity of God, The Red the blood of Jesus Christ and the Yellow the fire of the Holy Spirit.

As a Beaver, Cub, Scout & Explorer you will have the opportunity to gain any of the badges available to you from the 3 areas which are the Activity Badges, Challenge Badges and Staged Badges.
Some of the badges are achieved from the work and activities you do at Scouts, whilst others are achievable from what work you do outside of Scouting.
If you feel you may have completed any badge in or outside of Scouting and it has not been recognised, please discuss it with a Leader.

In addition to the required uniform, it is possible to buy many other uniform items including baseball Caps, Jackets, etc. Although you are free to purchase these items, please ensure that the required uniform is worn to all meetings.
Unless you are told otherwise by your Section Leader you should wear your uniform to all events.
