Based in Shortlands Road, serving both Murston and Sittingbourne areas, and part of the Sittingbourne & Milton District, we reformed in 2007, the centenary year of Scouting, after a long absence.
Every week over 60 young people aged 6 – 14 from Murston and Sittingbourne join us to experience everyday adventure and take part in our Scouting programme.
The Group has steadily grown over the last 10+ years, from the hard work and effort of our Leadership team, fully supportive Executive Committee and our Section Leaders.
Scouting is one of the oldest and best known providers of youth services in the world and we very much encourage family participation in our Scout Group, as well as providing quality Scouting to young people of all abilities.
Scouts is skateboarding, kayaking, climbing, photography and so much more. Try new things and make friends. Jump in and get muddy. Soar to new heights. There’s something for every young person.
Following the Scouts Association readiness levels, we are currently at “RED” level which means no Face-to-Face Scouting meetings.
During our AGM, which was held via Zoom, District Commissioner Angela Palmer paid a surprise visit to some of leaders to present them with awards (socially distanced of course).
